President & Founder
As President and founder, Mike Alley brings a diverse background of over 20 years in all areas of emergency preparedness, actively engaged in providing services to international corporations, federal, state, and local government, and the healthcare field. Mr. Alley also brings a 20-year background serving the IT industry in the software, hardware, and storage management space. Over Mike’s career, he has utilized his engineering problem-solving approach to assess and resolve critical business issues while providing value-driven solutions.
Mr. Alley continually leverages the lessons learned through current engagements, professional certifications, and active involvement in professional organizations to continue to enhance the fundamentals utilized daily at Resilient Strategies. Among these are Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) and Associate Healthcare Provider Continuity Professional (AHPCP) from Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP), and National Incident Management System (NIMS) provided by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Mike has served in various board positions for the Midwest Contingency Planners, an Indiana non-profit group comprising public and private sector emergency preparedness individuals. He stays active within the amateur radio community.

Sr. Consultant
As our lead exercise consultant, Jason Games, Sr. Consultant, utilizes his experience in public safety and national level exercises to deliver training and exercises for the public safety and business sectors. He also delivers hazardous materials training to emergency responders and hospital personnel and training in Basic and Advanced Disaster Life Support (BDLS/ADLS). He holds certifications in HSEEP, ICS 300/400, IS 120 Introduction to Exercises, IS 130 Exercise Evaluation & Improvement Planning, IS 139 Exercise Design, State of Indiana Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Officer, and Instructor II/III.
His experience includes hazardous material training supporting a VX nerve agent stockpile and as an embedded FEMA consultant for the National Level Exercise 2011. He has coordinated multi-state, multi-jurisdictional exercise planning efforts and facilitated partnerships between the national and regional FEMA levels and the State of Indiana for the largest exercise ever conducted in the United States. As an active first responder, he is Fire Chief of the Bellmore, Indiana Fire Department and is a member of the Indiana District Response Task Force 7 and Incident Management Team, serving as Deputy Planning Section Chief for deployment to Henryville (tornado) and Planning Section Chief for New York (Hurricane Sandy).

Lauren Taverna, MEP, most recently served as the Resiliency Training & Exercise Manager for Salesforce. As part of the Global Safety and Security team, she creates and facilitates training and exercises for the Global Crisis Management Team, Regional Incident Management Team, and the Japan Crisis Management Team.
Before Salesforce, Lauren was with the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, with an extensive background in exercises as the Exercise Program Manager. She planned, coordinated, and facilitated State, Regional, and National level exercises. As a certified instructor for HSEEP and a certified Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP), she was responsible for ensuring all exercises met the guidance of IDHS and federal regulations. As part of the Indiana Incident Management Team (IMAT), she was deployed as the Situation Unit Leader for the Henryville Tornado and the 2016 Aviation Bird Flu Operation. After her tenure at IDHS and before Salesforce, Lauren worked as the Direct Services Support Manager for the American Red Cross.

Captain-Retired, Carmel Fire Department. Gary provides training and exercise services as a consultant for Resilient Strategies, including hazardous materials and incident command, hospital decontamination in the form of classroom facilitation, hands-on training, post-scenario evaluation, and recommendations. He is a facilitator/evaluator for preparedness exercises for medical facilities, Local Emergency Planning Council, and private sector clients.
An experienced career firefighter and officer whose professional responsibilities have resulted in a diverse working knowledge in the areas of fire suppression, emergency medical service, rescue, hazardous materials, public relations, public education, fire prevention, disaster preparedness, and instruction, Gary has over twenty-six years in the field of emergency management.
Gary holds the following professional training certifications: Firefighter and Instructor, Hazardous Materials, National Incident Management System, and Special Operations. He is also a part of the FEMA USAR Task Force 1, which is designed as a tactical response team to mitigate natural disasters and for disastrous situations regarding mass casualties. Deployments have included Hurricanes Ernesto, Gustav, Ike, Hanna, Sandy, and tornado disaster sites in Indiana. Gary is enthusiastic about the ability to assist people in understanding how to handle emergencies calmly, giving a different perspective on situations that might occur during a disaster situation making them aware of simple ways of performing decontamination while keeping themselves and their co-workers safe.

Director of Special Hazards, Indiana Department of Corrections
During Mr. Snow’s tenure with the Newport Chemical Demilitarization Facility, he was the Emergency Response Coordinator directing exercise programs and emergency response for one-ton cylinders located onsite. Mr. Snow is an accomplished leader in emergency response management, with a background in all areas of emergency response to include Fire, Law Enforcement, Medical and Hazardous Material Teams. He has received recognition from outside auditors for operating the “Industry Best Practice in plans and exercises for emergency prepares, response activates and records” during an independent audit for ISO 14001:2004 certification. Mr. Snow has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Safety Management and have spent the last 30 years operating simultaneously in both a Safety and Emergency response fields. He has dedicated his life to safety, emergency response, preparedness, and high-quality training.
